I am using the SelpHbalance TDS, EC & Temp Meter to monitor my reverse osmosis water filter. This meter measures TDS, EC and temperature almost instantly. I can switch from TDS to EC by simply pushing the SHIFT button. In case the temperature reading is in Celsius, simply push the SHIFT button fast twice to switch to Fahrenheit.
In my case, I’m more concerned about my TDS value than my EC, which stands for Electrical Conductivity.
The #selpHbalanceTDS, EC & Temp Meter is a convenient tool to compare your filtered with your tap water. I was surprised when I first measured my tap water. My meter displayed a TDS reading of 482 ppm, very close to the EPA's recommended maximum level of 500 ppm. My filtered water’s TDS level is below 160 which is still high. Nonetheless, it’s still much healthier than drinking straight from the tap and my filtered water tastes better as well.
I recommend to rinse the electrodes with distilled water after each use to ensure accurate readings.
You can find this high quality meter on Amazon
