Yesterday, I replaced my old screen protector on my iPad Mini with a new one from intelliArmor. This brand offers a very robust screen protector made of real tempered glass. I can feel the difference between an ordinary screen protector made of plastic and intelliArmor’s one. The latter is harder, is very scratch resistant and provides excellent impact protection.
One way, I can tell it’s high quality glass is the fact I don’t see any fingernail marks left by my girlfriend when she’s playing Smule MagicPiano :D That was also one of the reason I replaced my older screen protector. It had so many scratches and marks, it became an eyesore. I can’t look into a crystal ball and foresee the future but I’m most confident that my new intelliArmor will outlast the functional life of my iPad Mini.
What I found especially helpful is that intelliArmor provides everything needed to achieve a successful installation. The packaging looks great and provides outstanding protection for the screen protector. You don’t have to worry yours arrive dented or bent. I got mine straight and in mint condition.

The Happyia Portable Bluetooth Speaker Model S111 is a very capable and robust device combined with a simple but eye-pleasing design. It improves my multimedia experience and it is very user friendly.
This speaker comes with a 3.5 mm audio cable, a USB charging cable and a manual. The packaging is very smart. The cables are inside a small, white box that also serves as a buffer for the speaker which has practically no room for movement. Everything in the box is neatly packed and very tight in its place.
The speaker has two rubber rings at each end and in between a tightly woven texture like a thin carpet. It feels slightly wooly. Yet, this texture gives it also a good grip. Imagine doing sports and you have sweaty or wet hands, this frizzy surface won’t slip out of your hands easily.
The build is quite robust and I think protects it very well from falls. Yet, this speaker is water-resistant, not waterproof as described in the product page on Amazon here. Waterproof means a device can be immersed in water or other liquid for a certain time at a certain depth. This speaker has an IPX4 rating which means it should withstand water splashing (10 liters per minute) for a minimum of 5 minutes from any directions. So, I’m confident it will survive a heavy rain but certainly not a drowning. Nonetheless, for the normal user an IPX4 rating is more than adequate.
This speaker has a standard Bluetooth signal strength. I can stand over 25 feet away from the speaker and I still get good reception.
Also, I experienced no issues pairing the speaker with any of my devices, which includes a Dell desktop, an iPad Mini, my Android phone and tablet. I also connected it to non-Bluetooth capable devices through the audio jack and it works perfectly.
The sound quality is excellent. The speaker has a mighty bass despite its small size and produces sounds with a high level clarity and rich detail. I might even hear somebody wetting his lips, so clear is the sound. Yet, Bluetooth signal may lag occasionally, so if I’m home and want to watch a movie on my device, I use the 3.5 mm audio cable to avoid lag. Sometimes, low tech is better. For music or watching YouTube, Bluetooth is alright, though. This device can be paired with another S111 Model to produce even superior 3D surround sound. This is amazing but so far I didn’t have the chance to try it out.
One tip I have is to use the metal half-ring, which is located at the same end of the micro-USB cover. as a hanger. I avoid surface vibrations and the sound comes out even clearer and louder. My desk lamp actually has thin metal rod for moving the head but I use it to hang my speaker on it when I connect it to my PC; check among my pictures how conveniently you can hang this speaker.
The battery of this speaker is capable of storing quite a lot of energy for its size. I could fully charge my Android tablet and still had ample of juice left for playing music and listen to my favorite podcasts. It does take time to fully charge the speaker and I recommend to not use a USB port of your PC but instead your phone charger. It will reduce charging time significantly.
One feature I find noteworthy is the fact the speaker resumes where I left off listening to music or any other audio file like a podcast.
The more I use this speaker, the more I appreciate its many features. It has an excellent sound with a strong bass. I did not experience any issues pairing it with other devices. It runs a long time without charging and thanks to its small size, it’s perfect for outdoor trips or bike rides or hiking trips.
Good looks, exceptional performance, lots of functions, I’m just happy with my new speaker.
