I have horrible allergies. I have to take a daily allergy medication and use a nasal spray because my allergies are so bad, but they are the worst in the morning right when I wake up from bed. So I plugged the Gideon air sanitizer right next to my bed so see if I would get any morning relief, and I can honestly say that this has made a huge difference. I wake up in the morning and can actually breath. Now, this isn't a "cure-all" device, but I have noticed such a difference to the point where I will be getting a second one for my daughters room who also suffers from allergies.
I love that it doesn't use any chords, it just plugs directly into the outlet and is ready to go, right out of the box. The fan is virtually silent, but if you listen real close, you can hear it. This will allow you to check and make sure its working. The UV light kills 98% (according to the pamphlet insert) of all airborne germs, which is such a great feature, especially with have 2 little ones in the house. I have had this running for a couple days in my room and I have cleaned the dust collectors twice so far, so this definitely is working. The dust collectors are very easy to clean, there are 2 that slide out and you just rub with a damp cloth, and they easily slide right back into place. The UV bulb has a nice blue glow to it and will last approx. 7,000 hours, so theres really no need to ever unplug this device, which they say for best results, to run continuously. I recommend this product for anyone who is trying keep their house clean from airborne germs and allergens.
