If you can't pass the Photo Verification Process, then the other option would be uploading a government-issued ID with your name and date of birth. Of course, many use a fake name for Facebook... But you're not screwed ;)
You can "produce" your own ID with an Android app and then retouch it a bit with image editing software like GIMP.
Here are the steps to unlock your Facebook account
1. Have a nice picture of you (or anything with a human face). I use goat face just for demonstration purposes
2. Download the app "Fake ID Generator" for Android and install it.
3. Open the Fake ID Generator app and choose the ID you want and fill in the fields you need according to the information you provided in your Facebook account.
At the end you have your ID but have those pesky FAKE signs and the name of the app at the bottom. Yet that's no problem.
4. Open GIMP , you can get it here (or use any other image manipuation program like Photoshop)
5. Now simply use the Smudge tool (see picture) and simply "smudge away" the FAKE signs.
After that, I recommend to blur the image as well. This helps in "aging" the picture a bit and signs of manipulations will be less obvious. You can blur an image in GIMP by going to Filters>Blur>Blur. Repeat that step 2 or 3 times. Here's my picture after all that:
6. DON'T UPLOAD THE PICTURE YET, black out ID number, your address, phone etc. Just leave your name and date of birth visible. Facebook allows this to protect your privacy (also this makes the whole story more "legit", as if you have privacy concerns).
7. Now go to your blocked account, upload your ID and wait up to three days. In my case it was less than 24 hours.
